The Design of High Temperature and Pressure Multicomponent Alloy
Abstract
In this report, we designed and comparatively studied 3 refractory high entropy alloys (RHEAs) MoNbTaVW, MoNbTaTiW, and HfNbTaTiZr. The phase diagram shown that the RHEAs keep body-centered cubic when the temperature is above 1000 °C, and the melting temperature of these alloys are above 2000 °C. The structural and mechanical properties of the BCC RHEAs were performed by SSOS method and 100-atom super cell, the results conformed the same accuracy of both methods. The potential high strength and high ductileness of RHEAs were revealed.
